How do I start a PrescriberNow visit?

Click Start your visit, choose the condition closest to your symptoms, and answer a short questionnaire about your health history and current medications. The intake usually takes 4–7 minutes. You will create a free account and select Hart Pharmacy as your preferred pharmacy before submitting.

How long does the intake take?

Most intakes take 4–7 minutes. We ask only what is clinically relevant, including symptoms, medical history, current medications, allergies, and a photo if the condition involves the skin. Some longer programs, such as initial hormone therapy, may take 10–15 minutes because the questionnaire is more thorough.

How quickly will a provider review my visit?

Most visits are reviewed within 2–4 hours during business hours, often faster. After-hours submissions are reviewed the next morning. You will receive an email and a dashboard notification the moment a decision is made.

What happens if the provider cannot prescribe?

Accepted Answer

If your symptoms suggest something more serious, the requested medication is not appropriate, or the visit needs an in-person exam, the provider will explain their reasoning and recommend next steps. The evaluation fee covers the clinician's time and professional judgment regardless of whether a prescription is issued.

Can I choose Hart Pharmacy to fill my prescription?

Yes. During intake you can select Hart Pharmacy as your preferred pharmacy. Once the provider approves treatment, the prescription is transmitted electronically to Hart Pharmacy and our team will prepare it for pickup, free once weekly local prescription delivery, or shipping within Kansas.

How much does a PrescriberNow visit cost?

Visit fees vary by condition and are shown upfront before you submit your intake. Medication costs are separate and paid to Hart Pharmacy at the time of pickup or delivery. The visit fee covers the clinician's review; if no clinician reviews your case, you are refunded in full.

Is my information private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PrescriberNow uses HIPAA-secure, encrypted infrastructure. Your health information is shared only with the provider reviewing your visit and the pharmacy filling your prescription. ID verification is required for most visits and is stored encrypted, visible only to the treating provider.

What conditions are not treated through PrescriberNow?

PrescriberNow is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. It is also not a replacement for a primary care provider for comprehensive preventive care, complex multi-system issues, or conditions that require an in-person exam. PrescriberNow does not prescribe controlled substances.
